Hi fellow dreamers and wanderers and welcome to my Blog!

If you are wondering (not to be confused with wandering) who am I and what makes me so different from other travel bloggers, that's a really good question, and one that I ask myself all the time. As I write this I am trying to narrow down my niche, as the social media folks say, but the reality is my niche is kind of a little bit of everything! 

In my "real world" life I am a Licensed Social Worker who like so many other social service professionals started out earning very little money and my travels were mostly budget friendly or very heavily dependent on friends' connections. But as I got older and continued to climb the financial ladder so to speak and now have a family of my own, my travels began to expand in their frequency and luxury and pivoted in their priorities.

I am the type of gal who plans multiple trips at once and then impatiently waits for them while checking Expedia, JetBlue (my fav! prove me wrong) and United (my husband's fav) feverishly while also opening up every Travelzoo newsletter in hopes I can convince my fam to take time off work and school and go away even for just 1 night. 

I am the type of a friend who when you tell me you are moving, while sad, is also excited about the opportunities to visit and explore new places.

I am the type of a person who loves to explore locally, who has lists upon lists of famous spots, new food joints, day drives, quirky roadside attractions, antique stores, thrifty vinyls, places for an afternoon coffee break and so on. 

I am kind of a one stop shop for girl trips, family vacays, romantic getaways and one off finds, and that my friends, is my niche! 

I think what I really am trying to say is that just like recipe blogs, while categorized, most of them offer more than just one type of a meal and that's what I want to be - a recipe blog just for travelers and explorers whether its a week long family vacation or just a teen approved afternoon an hour away from home.

So look around, stay while, check back often and don't forget to daydream and wander!
